Overview

Design Directors are talented, passionately driven to make gorgeous, edgy executions across all platforms. They're ready to be hands-on at every stage of the project, from brainstorming and execution to participating in client presentations. They ensure that quality is met, all the way to launch and beyond.

We want you to create kick-ass work and also mentor junior designers by helping shape their skills and design perspective. They're awesome but we want you to show them how to keep going on in a challenging creative environment.

We have a seriously collaborative work environment. You'll need to collaborate with others from across various disciplines on a daily basis while maintaining detailed execution. These include content writers, programmers, copywriters and business developers. It is an opportunity to redefine, reinvent and introduce change.

What we'd like to see

  • 5-7 years of visual design experience.
  • Print and digital experience.
  • Possess and able to articulate strong conceptual. We're looking for people who can start off strong and maintain strong, surprising concepts throughout the duration of the entire project.
  • A strong background in art direction with 5-7 years of visual design experience and at least some experience in an agency environment. You should consider Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign to be something like family.
  • A solid background in digital with at least 5-10 digital projects in your portfolio. You should consider HTML5, CSS as easy-peasy and should be able to digest codes.
  • A solid understanding of design for digital — Intuitive site functionality, interaction, site architecture, user interfaces , and navigation.
  • A solid understanding of design for print — Publication, annual reports, brochures, magazines and printed matter.
  • A solid understanding of design for branding — Corporate identity, branding systems and strategy.
  • Strong leadership and teamwork skills — the ability to work with others across various disciplines as well as the confidence and skill to communicate your ideas clearly.
  • A great attitude and a lack of ego. Some Early Birds work hard to keep big egos at bay.
  • Fluency in English and ability to present well is a must.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.

Overview

Junior Designers are driven to execute visual designs to the last detail — they’re the people who critique design on the way to the office. They're keen and interested to expand their horizons across the design spectrum — from print to digital, animation to reports. They are excited to push themselves and grow quickly. We want people who are ready to soak up as much as possible from this environment as while they contribute with their design skills.

We want you to create kick-ass work and be proud of it. Mentored by seniors and armed with a passion for doing good work — we want people who believe in their skills and their perspective and are ready to bring that awesomeness to these projects.

We have a seriously collaborative work environment. You'll need to collaborate with others from across various disciplines on a daily basis while maintaining detailed execution. These include content writers, programmers, copywriters and business developers. Our designers challenge themselves all the time to raise the bar. It is an opportunity to redefine, reinvent and introduce change.

What we'd like to see

  • 1-3 years of visual design experience.
  • Strong conceptual thinking. Designers are expected to execute in detail and also be part of the initial process — research, strategy and presentation.
  • A healthy design background — 1-3 years of design experience (preferably agency experience), an intimate knowledge of industry tools and a solid understanding of design and craft.
  • A solid understanding of design for print — Publication; Annual reports, brochures, magazines and printed matter.
  • A solid understanding of design for branding — Corporate identity, branding systems and strategy.
  • The ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team – we want people who can work solo and also work collaboratively on projects.
  • Commitment — There's always the opportunity here to do good work but that comes with the responsibility and tenacity to see projects through to the end.

Overview

You just graduated last week. Everything seems so new and you're anxious about getting your first job. Everything seems so overwhelming. But while your ex-classmates post their holiday pictures, you're getting restless. You can't wait to get your hands on your first professional project. You're willing to do whatever it takes - learn a new skill, grow a beard, design your first real publication piece, get involved in a new digital project, meet real clients, talk to printers, etc.

To right that sucky portfolio you created for graduation. To right that regret of not learning digital. To start fresh with real ongoing projects. Whatever your motives are, we want freshies who are willing to go out of their comfort zones, give their best and are willing to learn at breakneck speed under the guidance of seniors.

If you're planning to further your studies, don't worry, monthly contracts are possible.

What we'd like to see

  • Strong portfolio with a letter of recommendation from a lecturer.
  • Fresh graduates with print and digital work in their portfolios will have an advantage.
  • It is a must to demonstrate thought process, a neat compilation of sketches, notes, thoughts or any other supporting documentation.
  • The ability to work independently and also be part of a team – We want fresh graduates who can embark on small projects solo and also work collaboratively on bigger projects.
  • Accountability — Honestly is the best policy. Some Early Birds encourage fresh graduates to be open about their strengths and weaknesses.
  • Tenacity —The ability to see projects through from start to finish, no matter how difficult.
  • Willingness to be mentored – We want to help shape perspectives while encouraging great work.
  • Great learning attitude.
